Due to Pandemic Coronavirus situation last month, EUR was going up from 4,3 PLN/EUR to 4,5 PLN/EUR, USD from 3,8 to 4,16. Same situation will be, if you compare Polish złoty to UK pound sterling or Switzerland frank, it means only PLN is unstable and now it has the worth currency for all time.
So if you have any savings, better to save it in different currencies, for me its EUR or USD, other ones can be less stable. For example, you can keep 33% in PLN, 33% in EUR and 33% in USD.
If you want to exchange money in Poland, the best way is internet “kantor”, for example – Kantorekspert. If you will check this one, spread is about 1,5 groszy.
You can say Revolut is better for any money exchange.
I compared course for today – 18.04.2020 (EUR/PLN): Kantorekspert – 4,5123 – 4,5258; Revolut – 4,4916 – 4,5496.
This service I mentioned has better one, and also big advantage – you exchange on your real bank account and can withdraw EUR in bank w/o any additional fee. In Revolut its virtual account, probably you need to transfer again to real bank account, if you want to withdraw (not sure how it works).
So Revolut can be useful, if you travelling and want to pay by card. By don’t use it like only one pay method, you can bring you other cards also. I have Ukrainian and Polish cards, bringing all of them when travelling. If you want free Revolut card, you can use my invitation.
